Brow Lift

A brow lift repositions the eyebrows and addresses horizontal lines and heaviness across the forehead. Several techniques exist — endoscopic, using small incisions behind the hairline; temporal, addressing the outer brow only; and open approaches for more extensive cases.

Brow position substantially affects how the eyes appear. Where a patient believes the concern is their upper eyelid, the underlying cause is sometimes brow descent, and a consultation exists partly to distinguish between the two.

People typically discuss a brow lift when the outer brow has dropped, when the forehead appears heavy, or when they are told they look tired or stern in repose despite feeling neither.

Suitability depends on brow position, hairline, forehead height and skin quality. Your treating clinician will advise whether a surgical approach is appropriate or whether the concern is better addressed another way.

Swelling around the forehead and eyes is usual in the first ten days and may migrate downward as it settles. Numbness or itching along the incision line is common and resolves over time.
