FAQs

Questions before you travel.

If your question is not answered here, ask us directly. We would rather answer it properly than have you guess.

Is BTX a medical provider?

No.

BTX coordinates access to independent medical providers and supports the non-clinical elements surrounding the treatment journey. Medical advice and treatment are provided by the treating medical professional and clinic.

Who decides whether I am suitable for treatment?

Your treating medical professional.

The initial BTX pre-screen helps establish the appropriate next step, but clinical suitability must be determined by the specialist responsible for your care.

Where does treatment take place?

BTX currently focuses on participating medical providers in Bogotá and Medellín, Colombia.

How do I choose my surgeon or specialist?

BTX may introduce appropriate participating medical partners according to the treatment you are considering.

You should then undertake a direct consultation with the specialist before deciding whether to proceed.

Can BTX guarantee my results?

No.

No responsible medical provider or concierge should guarantee a particular clinical or aesthetic outcome. Your specialist will discuss realistic expectations during consultation.

How long will I need to remain in Colombia?

This varies significantly by treatment and individual circumstances.

Your treating clinician should advise the appropriate recovery period and when you may be fit to travel. The indicative stay shown on each procedure page is a planning guide only and is always superseded by clinical advice.

Does BTX arrange flights?

Travel assistance may be available as part of your coordination plan.

Where BTX assists with travel arrangements, they remain subject to the treating clinician's guidance regarding appropriate travel dates.

Where will I recover?

BTX may help identify suitable accommodation based on location, accessibility, privacy and proximity to your treating clinic.

Is nursing care available?

Where clinically recommended, appropriately qualified third-party nursing or recovery services may be coordinated.

BTX itself does not provide medical or nursing care unless it becomes separately authorised and appropriately staffed to do so.

What happens if I have a complication?

Your treating clinic should explain its complication and emergency protocols before treatment.

Any medical concern must be managed by an appropriate medical professional. BTX can support communication and logistics but does not replace clinical care.

How much does treatment cost?

Indicative prices may be displayed for planning purposes.

Your final medical quotation is confirmed following consultation. BTX coordination services, accommodation, transport and additional concierge services are presented separately and transparently.

Can I combine surgery with a holiday?

Treatment and recovery must always come first.

Any leisure activity should only take place before treatment or after your treating clinician has confirmed that it is medically appropriate.
